About:

The Columbia University NeuroTechnology Center is pleased to host the 2026 Dendritic Symposium, an international neuroscience symposium focused on dendritic computation, cortical circuits, neuronal cell types, and emerging neurotechnologies. Held virtually via Zoom on Thursday, December 10, 2026, the event will bring together leading neuroscientists from around the world to discuss the latest advances in systems neuroscience, cellular neuroscience, computational neuroscience, and brain circuit research.

Featured speakers include Peter Jonas, Gabor Tamas, Idan Segev, Henrike Planert, Lida Kanari, and Jonathan Ting — pioneering investigators whose work spans synaptic physiology, dendritic integration, neuronal morphology, cortical microcircuits, transcriptomics, and advanced tools for studying the mammalian brain.

This symposium is generously supported by the Collaborative Opportunities for Multidisciplinary, Bold, and Innovative Neuroscience (COMBINE) Program sponsored by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS).
